AI & Automation
Automate the work nobody should be doing by hand
Workflow automation, system integrations and applied AI, scoped against the hours they actually save — and measured after launch to prove they saved them.
The problem
Most automation projects automate the wrong thing
Teams tend to automate whatever is easiest to automate, not whatever costs the most time. We start by measuring where the hours actually go, then automate in order of payback. Every workflow ships with a number attached — hours saved per month — and we check it ninety days later against reality.
What is included
From process audit to monitored production
01
Process audit
We map the workflow as it is really performed, time each step, and rank candidates by hours saved against cost to build. You get the ranking whether or not you hire us.
02
Workflow automation
Approvals, handoffs, document generation, data entry and reporting — replaced with reliable pipelines that log every action for audit.
03
System integration
Making your CRM, accounting, support desk and internal tools actually talk to each other, with reconciliation so the numbers agree in both directions.
04
Applied AI
Document extraction, classification, summarisation and drafting using Claude and comparable models — with human review built into anything consequential.
05
Internal tools and dashboards
The small operational interfaces that replace a shared spreadsheet nobody trusts, with proper permissions and an audit trail.
06
Monitoring and handover
Alerting on failures, runbooks for the humans, and documentation good enough that another team could maintain it without calling us.
Typical outcomes
What good looks like
Placeholder — replace with real client data
Measured before and after
We time the manual process first, so the saving is a measured number rather than a claim in a proposal. We report it back at ninety days.
Fails loudly, never silently
Every workflow has alerting, retries with backoff, and a dead-letter path. Silent failure in an automated process is worse than no automation at all.
Humans stay in the loop where it matters
Anything touching money, contracts or customer communication routes through human approval. AI drafts; a person signs off.
No black boxes
Every automated action is logged with inputs, outputs and the reason for the decision, so you can answer an auditor or an unhappy customer.

FAQ
AI & Automation questions
By payback. We time the real process, estimate build cost, and rank by hours saved per pound spent. Often the highest-value automation is unglamorous — a reconciliation nobody wants to own rather than a chatbot.
In our experience it removes the worst part of their week rather than their job. We target repetitive data handling and handoffs, not judgement. If a project genuinely means headcount change, that is a conversation to have openly at the start.
Only with guardrails. We restrict models to well-defined tasks, validate their output against rules, log every decision, and route anything consequential through human approval. We do not put an unsupervised model in front of your customers or your money.
Data handling is defined in writing before any build. Where models are involved we use providers with no-training guarantees on business data, and we can keep sensitive processing inside your own infrastructure where that is required.
It alerts, retries, and fails into a queue a human can inspect — it never fails silently. Support retainers include monitoring and a response commitment.
